I am prof. Masatou Kawashima. I was graduated from faculty of medicine at Kyushu University in 1994. Immediately after graduation, I became a resident of neurosurgical department at Kyushu University. I obtained board certification of Japanese Neurosurgical Society in 2000. I was a post-doctoral research fellow at University of Florida (UF) from 2001-2003. I studied micro-neurosurgical anatomy at UF under the instruction of prof. Rhoton (Fig 1) who was world-wide famous neuro-anatomist. I also collaborated with prof. Spetzler (Fig 2) who was former director at Barrow Neurological Institute in Arizona and published a bypass textbook with him (Fig 3). I became a chairman at department of Neurosurgery at International University of Health and Welfare in Chiba in 2017.
I established a neurosurgery clinic in the central area in Fukuoka city in 2023. It is 10 min from Hakata station and 20 min from Fukuoka airport by subway. Patients from all over the world are very welcome to my hospital. If you have any concern might be related to brain malfunction including headache, dizziness, memory disturbance, and numbness of extremities, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
